STUDENTS:
2nd year Bachelor in Product Design: Jewellery and Accessories at HEAD-Geneva.
TECHNICAL CONSTRAINTS:
Reimagine a new version of a ring in a contemporary design, using one of the centre stones from the two vintage rings provided (to be chosen by the students).
The design proposal should be based on the client’s personal tastes, be resolutely contemporary, and may incorporate a cluster of brilliant-cut diamonds measuring between 1 and 4 mm in diameter.
THE DELIVERABLES REQUESTED:
Research log (observational drawings, sketches, collages, inspiration photos, notes, etc.)
3D design drawings at design scale
3D printing prototypes
STRUCTURE:
9 – 11 April 2025: 3 days of meetings and work on design proposals to be provided to the client
End of September – mid-December 2025: half-day course each week. Development of the design during the 3D modelling course.
19 December 2025: Presentation of projects and Panel
